That's right: Wednesday, March 3 is the official administration of the 4th grade TAKS Writing test! In terms of the composition, the best thing to do at this point is just relax and trust the writing process. If you have time, you can have students practice (in a non-stressful atmosphere) writing on one of the practice prompts provided in a previous post (you can sort by "writing"). The students know everything they need to--and believe me, they've practiced and practiced--to be successful.
In terms of the editing, their is still time to polish up those skills! Students can go to Study Island, log in, and go to the Writing tab. Have them show you their results in the individual sections.
I'm also happy to look at any practice compositions done at home and provide feedback.
