Types of Non-Fiction

In our last post, we discussed and listed the types of fiction. Now, we'll list the types of nonfiction and give the letter code for each one.

Informational Books (I): Give us information, facts and ideas about history, science, animals, language, and so on. Some examples include textbooks, reference books, cookbooks, maps/atlas', almanacs, music books and so on.

Biography (B): Tells the life story of a real person. Told from the point of view of another person. A good example is Lincoln: A Photobiography.

Autobiography (AB): Tells the life story of a person from their OWN point of view.
